– Describe and record costs by classification
– Explain and apply cost accounting techniques
– Use management accounting techniques to make and support decision-making

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT/CRITERIA

All students need to attend at least 75% of classes.
Student’s Pass holders must maintain an attendance of at least 90% as required by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

MODE OF DELIVERY

Lecture, interactive tutorials, paired or group learning, practical lessons (if applicable) and other interactive activities in line with current best practices.

COURSE OVERVIEW

The ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 3) is a qualification for anyone planning to work as a bookkeeper, cost clerk, or an accounting administration role. This qualification would suit those working as an assistant to financial managers as it provides a good grounding in general accounting skills, in financial and management accounting.

RECOGNITION

This course is broadly equivalent to GCE A-Levels. Please refer to the qualification / MOD specifications found on the ACCA website.

AIMS

The course is designed to develop competency in the processing of financial and cost accounting information in a suitable form for conversion into internal or external financial or management accounting reports, including cash management, using manual and computer systems, and to develop competence in professional skills.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Full-time learners are required to take FA2
& MA? modules at 15 guided learning hours per week.
Foundations in Professionalism is to be completed directly through mACCA, if not already completed at RQF Level 2.

ASSESSMENT

Learners will be externally assessed via a Computer
Based Examination by ACCA Global.

Applicants must be aged 16 years and above upon commencement.

For local students, 2 GCE O-Level PASS grades or Higher NITEC or equivalent.

Learners who are non-native English speakers AND who have not carried out their final two years of schooling in English must demonstrate an English proficiency equivalent to a PASS in English Language subject at Year 10/GCE O Level/GCSE or Level B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for Languages or PTE Academic 41 or IELTS 5.0 (reading and writing must be at 5.0) or equivalent.
